Braves Country

This past Saturday was Michael’s first Saturday off in a very long time. So we decided to go do something for fun. So we got up that morning and headed to Atlanta. We went to Turner Field. There we got to tour the stadium. First we had to wait about an hour in the Hall of Fame. Then we were finally let out! It was very very cold that day so everyone that was there to tour stayed inside. LOTS of wild crazy kids screaming! Anyways. We, along with about 35 other people, were lead around by a ‘tour guide’. She obviously had done this 1000 times before us that day. Her jokes were lame and were spoken as if she had had enough! =)

We go to go to several different areas:

  • Braves Museum & Hall of Fame
  • Coca-Cola Sky Field
  • Scouts Alley—didn’t go there
  • Broadcast Booth
  • Luxury Suite
  • Press Box
  • Clubhouse
  • The Plaza
  • Dugout
  • We got to go where most people don’t get to go. One thing that stuck out to me: was right before we were about to walk out of the field to go to the dugouts. The tour guide said there were a few rules. One DO NOT TOUCH THE GRASS and two Don’t talk to the players. You can take as many pictures as you’d like of the players, but don’t talk to them. The grass part was funny. They water and cut the grass of the field TWO times EVERY day. They really love their grass. And they have a Sod Farm. If a player messes up the field during the game, they cut a piece and replace it. Anyways. Here are a few fun pictures I took. I was not a crazy tourist taking 1000 crazy pics. Just a few! =)
